The device address byte identifies the device targeted by the single device read/write command. All response frames contain the device address byte. In single device read/write commands, the device that contains a matching value in the DIR0_ADDR (used for communication direction with CONTROL1[DIR_SEL] = 0) or in DIR1_ADDR (used for communication direction with CONTROL1[DIR_SEL] = 1) responds to the command.
